A France Gem in Florida. I am on the Board of Overseers of Stetson College of Law and each year on my first night visit to the school always makes this restaurant my first stop. Next year on my 50th reunion intend to have a party to celerbrate. The family that runs the restaurant are special from the grandmother cooking to daughter as greeter and now the children as servers.” ~ Judge Raphael Steinhardt, Miami, Florida

The atmosphere was romantic and old fashioned elegant. The food was just the right amount and outstandingly good. Dessert and coffee finished off a wonderful meal. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with dinner that was very reasonably priced. As excellent as we found the wine it would have been nice to have more Sauvignon Blanc options. We are excited to have found this jewel hiding in plain sight and look forward to our next meal at La Cote Basque.”

This wonderful family has operated this restaurant, LaCote Basque, for over 30 years. As the older loved ones are passing on, the younger relatives are moving into all of the services of the restaurant. It still has the same comfortable feeling of the old world and the food is still prepared like mama made it back in the old country. A very nice experience every time. I have been going there for over 29 years.”

Very good food. A European style pace. Some people who are use to eating and running may not like the slower pace but we love it. No one was rushing us out even though it was a busy Valentines evening. We will go back and bring friends.”

Food was great and service was wonderful. I love the place. It is a place you can take your wife or mother.”

The service and food are always good. It is one of my favorite dining spots.”

As always, the food was wonderful. We always get the filet mignon which is prepared perfectly. The vegetables, bread, salad …what can I say? Just wonderful!”

Had another delightful dinner at La Cote Basque–the duck was wonderful. A neat, heavily-decorated hideaway which is not at all what you would expect from a beach resort-type restaurant. The service is friendly and exceptional. Highly recommend a visit.”

Excellent food and service!”

Great dinner and great service. Interesting decor. People were polite and efficient. Definitely will return. This place is unique and fun.”

The escargo was excellent (French way) Lobster Bisque was delicious. Everyone in our party was pleased with their food. It was a Birthday celebration and we will all go back. I had not been there in years and it was just as good as I had remembered.”

Great Food, Really nice place that makes you think your in France. Highly recommended!!!”

A true gem. The food is better than Manhattan cuisine and certianly more reasonably priced.”

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 40 years and will continue to go until they close, which hopefully, won’t happen. The food is all freshly made when ordered and this restaurant is owned by a wonderful family that continues to grow with new generations of kids and grandchildren.”

Excellent German and French food, wonderful atmosphere, good service.”

A very eclectic venue with great charm and an excellent menu. Everything we have tried is outstanding, from Sauerbraten to veal piccata. Desserts change frequently and are delicious. The only quibble is the service which is spotty but friendly. The bread, by the way, is amazing!”
